Protections in Place

  • There is no search feature is available on the website, , meaning a user can only find other users she knows in real life.
  • Data is protected so it does not appear in search engine results.
  • Friends can only be added by two methods:
    • By syncing the necklace face to face (meaning both users must have the devices)
      • It is not necessary for necklace owners to register on the website, though without the website, there can be no editing of codes and no customization/removal of friends.
    • By allowing registered necklace owners to invite friends via email who do not have the necklace (and a unique single-use code generated on the website is sent); necklace owners are capped at 4 invitations for now.
      • The invited users can only be friends with the invitee user and cannot view profiles of any other user unless the user decides to buy a necklace and decides to add the friends in person.
      • The invited users can have multiple friends if the invited users receive invitations from multiple necklace owners.
  • Friends can be deleted through the website, immediately resulting in the user’s inability to see the unfriended profile (and vice-versa).
    • Messages can still be sent and received until at least one party updates their necklace.
      • This is due to the limits of this technology and approach. There cannot be instant cessation of communications between the users unless at least one of the users has the device plugged in to some internet-enabled device, allowing for data to be exchanged between the web server and the device. Once this is done, no more communication can happen between the necklaces until the users decide to become friends again by syncing their necklaces..
  • There is human moderated content on all publicly visible portions of the website.
    • Content is previewed before posting by the eMotion-side human moderators.
    • The following section(s) are considered publicly visible:

  • Amazon Web Services hosts bffgemz.com and is a premier brand well known for minimizing security threats.
  • Weekly reports to parents which state the following:
    • Child’s username
    • Usernames of all the child’s friends
    • Usernames of friends added or removed in the last week

Furthermore, you hereby grant eMotion permission to remove, delete, retract or otherwise modify any Information that eMotion, in its sole and exclusive discretion, deems inappropriate or otherwise with the intended use of our Site.

INDEMNIFICATION
You hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless eMotion against any claims by third parties for all claims relating to the Intellectual Property misappropriation including but not limited to copyright and trademark infringement as well as trade secret misappropriation.
